Former Director General, Goa & Former Special Commissioner of Police, Protective Security, Delhi

Jaspal Singh, a 1996 AGMUT cadre IPS officer originally selected for the IFS, retired on August 31, 2025, after a distinguished career in policing, intelligence, and security management. He has served in several key positions including Special Commissioner of Police, Delhi; DGP/IGP in Goa; Deputy Director in the Intelligence Bureau; and SSP Crime & Intelligence in Puducherry.

Currently, he is Chair Professor at the National Forensic Science University, Delhi Campus. Academically accomplished with degrees in MBA, MCA, MSc (IT), and LLM, he is known for his expertise in crime investigation, cyber law, security management, and financial frauds.

He has been trained by the FBI, LAPD, U.S. State Department, and London Metropolitan Police, and has received several prestigious honours including the President’s Police Medals for Meritorious and Distinguished Service, the “Goan of the Year” Award (2024), and multiple commendations for exemplary public service.
