11th February 2024
Smuggling is a global problem, impacting countries and regions across the globe. Governments worldwide have taken various decisive measures to combat smuggling, including strengthening border security, implementing stricter trade regulations, and increasing international cooperation to disrupt criminal networks. However, smuggling continues to be a significant challenge that needs immediate attention.
India for many years has been a lucrative destination for the smugglers and is one of the biggest victims of their illicit activities. In order to address the critical issue of smuggling and reinforce our commitment to raise awareness, FICCI CASCADE identified 11th February as Anti-Smuggling Day. This day aims to unite all stakeholders to collectively comprehend the extent of the problem and explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and coordination.
The programme will focus on the extent of the problem and will provide a platform for raising awareness and forging alliances against the detrimental impacts of smuggling.
Kindly stay tuned with us to watch this programme on YouTube and FICCI CASCADE social media platforms.
