Brunei to clamp down on illegal tobacco products
The government is stepping up to clamp down on illegal tobacco products as majority of smokers in Brunei buy their cigarettes from the black market, a Ministry of Health official said.
Health Promotion Centre (HPC) Head Dr HjhNorhayatiHjKassim expressed grave concern over the prevalence of smoking among adults despite stringent anti-smoking policies including a de facto stop in renewal of applications for tobacco import and wholesale licence.
