World Anti-Counterfeiting Day 2025 Strengthening Partnerships to Combat Counterfeiting
13th June 2025, Monday | Commission Room, FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi
Counterfeiting is a pervasive and escalating global challenge, affecting countries across all levels of development, including India. While India’s robust economic growth has opened new avenues for progress, it has also inadvertently created abundant ground for counterfeit activities and illicit trade.
FICCI CASCADE is a dedicated forum on the agenda of counterfeiting and smuggling. FICCI CASCADE over the years has been successful in stirring an active debate on the topic across various states in India through seminars, conferences and capacity building programmes. These programmes were well attended by policy makers, industry across sectors, consumer rights activists, youth, police, customs, border security officials, and have received wide media coverage.
The Global Anti-Counterfeiting Group (GACG) declares World Anti-Counterfeiting Day (WACD), underscoring the importance of global cooperation in addressing the growing threat of counterfeiting. As a proud member of GACG, FICCI CASCADE joins the international community in commemorating this important day. In continuation of our efforts to raise awareness on the critical issues of counterfeit and contraband goods, we are pleased to inform you that FICCI CASCADE is organizing World Anti-Counterfeiting Day on the theme titled “Strengthening Partnerships to Combat Counterfeiting” on 13th June 2025 from 10:30 AM at FICCI, New Delhi
The seminar will bring together key stakeholders to discuss the rising prevalence of counterfeit products and the challenges faced by enforcement agencies and brand owners in tackling this global menace.
We believe that your active participation will add great value to the initiative and to the broader dialogue on ensuring consumer safety and supporting legitimate businesses.
