Illicit Trade is a very dynamic and constantly changing phenomenon. MASCRADE 2019 aims at deepening the understanding of “grey markets” for smuggled, counterfeit and related pirated commercial goods, to assess their impact, and to promote practical recommendations for designing an effective strategies by the public and private sectors to dismantle them. It also aims at designing a better enforcement ecosystem and to protect the interest of brand owners in India. It will enable us to identify areas where policies and practices need to be strengthened and contribute to an integrated vision of security and public safety.
