Illicit trade has increasingly evolved into a sophisticated global challenge that disrupts fair market practices, fuels organised criminal networks and creates significant obstacles to economic resilience and governance. The growing scale and complexity of illicit trade across countries continue to pose serious challenges to regulatory enforcement frameworks and the integrity of global trade ecosystems.
The objective of the international conference is to foster a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted risks and threats posed by illicit trade practices, particularly smuggling and counterfeiting, to economies across the world.
The conference will provide insights into effective strategies, policy measures, and best practices for preventing and combating illicit trade. It will also focus on strengthening international cooperation through the exchange of experiences and best practices, while promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance as key elements in addressing this global challenge.
In addition, the conference will facilitate in-depth discussions on various approaches to tackling the pervasive issues of counterfeiting and smuggling. These discussions will cover the implementation of anti-counterfeiting and anti-smuggling measures, the prioritization of brand protection initiatives, the strengthening of legal and regulatory frameworks, and the promotion of research, innovation, and technology-driven solutions to effectively combat these harmful practices.
Through these deliberations, the conference seeks to advance collaborative and actionable solutions to curb illicit trade, protect legitimate businesses and consumers, and contribute to sustainable economic growth and public welfare.
MASCRADE 2026 will also provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration among policymakers, enforcement agencies, industry leaders, and international experts to examine emerging trends in illicit trade and identify innovative, coordinated, and forward-looking approaches to combat these threats.
