Police could struggle to cope with counterfeit cigarettes, warn ex-cops

In the letter, the group of former police officers warns that they are concerned about ‘the impact this move will have on crime’.
Police will struggle to cope with counterfeit cigarettes hitting Britain’s streets if cigarettes have to be sold in plain packets, warn retired police officers in letter to The Daily Telegraph.
The letter is signed by Sir Ian Johnston, former Chief Constable of the British Transport Police, as well as retired fraud squad and flying squad officers.
