Police seize half a tonne of smuggled tobacco worth £180,000 from New Malden business park
Police officers seized 500kg of smuggled tobacco from a New Malden business park. The goods were wrapped in Golden Virginia packets and had an estimated £180,000 retail value. They were discovered at a unit on the Kingspark Business Centre in Kingston Road on Wednesday afternoon after police were called by the landlord of a commercial unit.
