The House chief said the authorities should instead preocuppy themselves in addressing the unabated smuggling of China-made products to the country.

Arduino sister brand to launch in China to fight counterfeiting
ARDUINO and China-based Seeedstudio have partnered up for China-made “Genuino” boards and accessories.
Seeedstudio will manufacture and distribute Arduino LLC products using the new Genuino brand in China and other Asian markets. The new name, which is a sister brand to Arduino, is for markets outside of the USA. It certifies the authenticity of boards, to be in line with Arduino’s open hardware and open source philosophy.

PNP destroys P100M worth of counterfeit goods
The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday staged the ceremonial destruction of pirated and counterfeited items worth P100 million on Monday at Camp Crame in Quezon City.
The disposal of the counterfeit goods was led by PNP Deputy Director General Leonardo Espina and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group chief Director Benjamin Magalong. They were joined by Optical Media Board (OMB) Chairman Ronnie Ricketts and new Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines Director General Atty. Allan Gepty.

Police Seize Over 280 Bottles Of Smuggled Liquor
Police in Nyabihu District have impounded 287 bottles of smuggled liquor after it was sneaked into the country apparently through an illegal border in the Western Province.
The seized liquor include 96 bottles of Red Wine, 48 bottles of Gordon gin, 26 bottles of VeuveClicquot and 24 bottles of Black Label.
