New Delhi: Banned e-cigarettes worth over Rs 2 crore have been seized and eight members of inter-state gangs involved in importing and selling them arrested, Delhi Police said on Friday. On Thursday, information regarding the import and transportation of prohibited electronic cigarettes in the north district was received, they said.

Bootleggers held with illicit liquor
RAMBAN, Oct 2: Police here today on the directions of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh arrested two bootleggers along with illicit liquor.
Cops from Police Station Ramban while patrolling apprehended one Dev Raj, son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Hallah Dhandrath, Ramban and recovered 50 bottles (180 ml each) of illicit alcohol from him.

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Gurgaon Nishant Kumar Yadav said the administration will maintain law and order in the district before the upcoming polling on October 5 for the Haryana Assembly Elections.

Pune Crime News: Crime Branch Unit 6 Arrested Woman For Brewing Illicit Liquor
On 30/09/2024, while police officers and enforcers from Unit 6 were conducting preventive patrolling in the area. At that time, Hrishikesh Takawane got information that a woman was brewing liquor by burning a furnace at Perne village to Kolpe Vasti Road. When the team raided the place, a woman named Neelam Bajrag Pardeshi was found near her house burning a furnace.
About 70 liters of country made liquor and 5000 liters of raw chemicals and other materials worth a total of Rs 4,52,500 have been found in her possession. She has been handed over to Lonikand Police Station for further action.
U.P. Man held with counterfeit notes at Lucknow railway station
Lucknow: A 22-year-old man was arrested here for allegedly possessing counterfeit Indian currency notes amounting to Rs 1.97 lakh, police said on Monday. The accused, Amir Khan, hailing from Bareilly district, was apprehended by the Government Railway Police (GRP) at Charbagh railway station on Sunday. He was travelling from Malda in West Bengal to Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, they said. In a press release, the police said they recovered a total of 394 counterfeit notes, each with a face value of Rs 500, amounting to Rs 1,97,000. During interrogation Amir told police that he worked at a footwear shop in Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar area and lived in Sarita Vihar.
Fake US banknotes land senior citizen behind bars
KUALA LUMPUR: A senior citizen has been sentenced to 10 months in prison by the Sessions Court here for possessing 12 counterfeit United States banknotes amounting to US$1,200 three months ago.
Judge Azrul Darus handed down the sentence to trader Woo Tuck Lab, 64, after he pleaded guilty to the charge and ordered him to serve his jail term starting from the date of his arrest on June 20.
