Nashik: The Ahilyanagar police on Friday claimed to have busted a counterfeit currency notes printing unit operating from a workshop at Waluj MIDC in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar following the arrest of seven suspects and recovery of fake notes of Rs59.5 lakh, as well as material for printing fake notes .
“A patrol team led by sub inspector Pralhad Gite from the Nagpur Taluka police on July 27 had intercepted two persons and recovered counterfeit currency notes of Rs 500 denomination worth Rs 80,000 from them. A case was registered under section 179 and 180 of the BNS,” Ahilyanagar superintendent of police Somnath Gharge said.
