The Daily Startup: TraceLink Helps to Fight Prescription Drug Counterfeiting
TraceLink makes a cloud-based software product that helps track prescription drugs from the manufacturer to the pharmacy shelf, which can help to prevent the trafficking of counterfeit drugs. As a new federal law takes effect that seeks to halt the counterfeiting of drugs, the company has raised $20 million in funding to keep up with the demand for its product, Timothy Hay reports for Dow Jones VentureWire. The new funding was led by new investor Volition Capital, joined by new investor Fidelity Biosciences and returning investor FirstMark Capital.
