Fake vodka could be in South Lakeland shops, police warn
COUNTERFEIT vodka could be being sold in local shops, warn police. A clear spirit labelled as Glen’s Vodka, a popular brand, has been proven to be fake at several locations around the UK. The Food Standards Agency are warning people to look at the bottle closely because on the fake product the word ‘bottled’ is misspelt so the front label reads ‘produced and botteled in Great Britain’. Also, on the rear of the label there should be a message saying ‘DRINKAWARE.CO.UK’ but it actually says ‘D-RINK AWARE.CO.UK’ .
