Nigeria: Smuggling and Textile Industry Development

The stakeholders said the economy is losing so much in terms of revenue in taxes to the federal government as a result of the smuggling activities, noting that the 100b textile revival intervention fund introduced by the federal government might not be able to achieve much if the spate of smuggling of textile materials into the country is not curbed.
