Create a national movement to make our country safe from the bane of smuggling and counterfeiting by advocating effective actions, promoting legal businesses including MSME’s and protecting consumer’s interests; thus, achieving the vision of a secure, healthy and a prosperous India.

Illicit trade is an unfair trade practice that undermines private sector contributions to economic growth and employment. It chokes market growth, sabotages global supply chains, squanders natural resources and endangers security. The growing network of illicit trade is a grave concern as it endangers lives of the consumers. Inadequate legal framework and lack of consumer awareness are shaping the dynamics of illicit trade. Imparting knowledge to the consumer on the importance of promoting genuine goods in the country can go a long way to tackle this menace. Therefore, significant policy reforms and strategies should be enhanced to fight against the growing hazards of counterfeiting and smuggling with the goal of keeping consumer safe.

Inter-School Competition: ZERO EVASION- Role of Youth in Making India Free from Smuggling & Counterfeiting

FICCI CASCADE has been at the forefront of addressing the challenges posed by illicit trade in smuggled, counterfeit, and pass-off goods. Over the years, we have actively collaborated with policymakers, industry leaders, enforcement officials, and the media. Our efforts also extend to engaging the youth through various educational initiatives, including inter-school and inter-college competitions, youth festivals, and creative programs.

To further this mission and highlight the critical role of youth in combating counterfeiting and smuggling, FICCI CASCADE is organising “Zero Evasion – Role of Youth in Making India Free from Smuggling & Counterfeiting” on 12th August 2024 at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. This inter-school competitions will feature students from Delhi and NCR in the following categories:
